Audio Descriptive Movie Show for the Visually Impaired at AMC

The Hong Kong Society for the Blind joined hands with the Media Evangelism Limited to organize the first ever audio descriptive movie show of the “ Team of Miracle: We Will Rock You” at the AMC of Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong on 11 June, 2010. A total of 130 persons with more than 50 visually impaired members enjoyed the movie show together.

Mr. Adrian Kwan, the Director of the movie, conducted the movie narration during the movie show. The movie show was extremely meaningful to the audience as it was shown on the kick-off day of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The event aims to draw attention from the movie industry to promote the needs of the visually impaired on Audio Descriptive Movies, such that a descriptive audio track can be added into all movies, to allow people with visual impairment to enjoy movies in the cinema as their sighted counterparts.
