350 participants enjoyed big bowl feast to celebrate Chinese New Year at Ping Shan

The “big bowl feast and heritage tour 2019” event was organized on 17 February at Ping Shan Tang Ancestral Hall and Yu Kiu Ancestral Hall. There are around 350 visually impaired and their family members and staff participated.

 

Audio Description service helps the participants to know the history and culture of Ping Shan

 

A guide tour of Ping Shan Heritage Trail with audio description provided by Information Accessible Centre was organized to around 90 visually impaired members. Participants visited Sheung Cheung Wai, Old Well, Tang Ancestral Hall and Yu Kiu Ancestral Hall. The narrator introduced the outlook and the story of the two Halls by audio description, to allow the participant to learn more about the history of Ping Shan.

 

The Cheers Band of Morning Glory DAC cum Hostel gave a performance by singing three popular songs accompanied by harmonica, all the participants clapped their hands together to bring the event to a climax.
