Actively exchange to increase service quality and broaden horizon

Our colleagues actively equip themselves and engage with various stakeholders in Asia and around the world to broaden their horizons.

Fujian

From November 7 to 9 this year, The Hong Kong Society for the Blind participated in the "Connecting Heart" exchange programme and visited Shaoguan together with more than 400 Hong Kong social welfare practitioners. Through three days of exchanges, our colleagues have deepened their understanding of Shaoguan's social welfare services.

The United Arab Emirates

The World Congress on Rehabilitation 2024

The World Congress on Rehabilitation 2024 was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, from September 23 to 25. Four representatives from The Hong Kong Society for the Blind attended the event.

The theme of the event centered on "Work and Employment", where rehabilitation professionals from various countries discussed the challenges and barriers faced by individuals with disabilities in the job market, along with related support service programmes. Our team greatly benefited from the three-day conference, seizing the opportunity to connect with rehabilitation partners from around the world, exchanging insights and valuable service models.
