Update for Web Accessibility Testing Services
In today's fast-paced world of digital age, people are used to accessing large amounts of information from websites and mobile apps every day. Being able to access information from internet properly becomes crucial to us because we have strongly relied on internet to accomplish many tasks in our daily lives. However, do the visually impaired and persons with disabilities have the same experience while using internet as we do?
In fact, many websites and mobile apps are not fully accessible to all people, particularly to the visually impaired. For examples, they have no subtitles for video contents, no alt text for images, and poor color contrast, etc. As a result, the visually impaired and other people with disabilities are unable to access information successfully by using their screen readers and some assistive devices.
Barrier Free Access (HK) Limited (BFAHK) is committed to promoting digital accessibility by providing its accessibility testing services for either websites or mobile applications. Recently, BFAHK has successfully applied the funding from the Home Affairs Department's "Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Program" to expand its business related to web accessibility testing services. In future, we will put more emphasis on promoting the necessity of digital accessibility in order to encourage more organizations and the general public to apply the web accessibility concept, thereby to achieve “Equality for ALL with Barrier Fee Access” both in real and digital world.
