Obituary
Mr. Clive Oxley, OBE, ED, former Chairman of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind (“HKSB”) from 1987 to 2008, passed away on 20 April, 2019.
Over the twenty-one years under his Chairmanship, HKSB benefited from his wisdom, vision, leadership and dedication to care for the well-being of the visually impaired. In particular, he introduced the system of Committees under the Council, and successfully steered HKSB to develop and expand services to meet the various needs of the visually impaired.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Clive Oxley for his care and concern over the well-being of the visually impaired. Mr. Oxley’s commitment, determination and leadership will be remembered forever.
HKSB will follow the immortal spirit of Mr Oxley to help the visually impaired to develop their potentials to the fullest extent, and to strive for their equal participation in a barrier free inclusive society.
With deepest condolences to Mrs Oxley and family members of Mr Oxley!
