Rehabilitation Centre
Introduction
The Kowloon Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1971 to provide independent living skills training to the visually impaired and newly blinded people in Hong Kong. The New Territories Rehabilitation Centre set up in Tuen Mun in 2002, to cater for those living in the New Territories. The two centres provide comprehensive rehabilitation programmes for the visually impaired at age 16 or above through centre-based and home-based training.
Objectives
We aim to develop and enhance the independent living skills for the visually impaired through one-on-one training and group rehabilitation programmes, and also help them regain self-confidence while developing potential in community reintegration.
